A trip for our COEP scholars to Mumbai was arranged on 11th December 2014. The fun-filled day started with a guided tour around Prince of Wales Museum, and then headed towards Chatrapati Shivaji Terminus(CST) station, for a meal at McDonalds! On the way, we got the lovely views of the city’s marvelous architects like Mumbai University, High Court, The Flora Fountain, The Rajabai Tower, along with a historic insights provided by name. Once at McDonalds, along with the meal, we enjoyed observing the busy life and architect of CST station and the BMC building. The day was commenced with a sailing experience at the Gateway of India in a super luxury catamaran.

'Theatre & Self-expression' session for the Vinod Doshi-COEP Merit Scholars on 21st February, 2015 at the College of Engineering, Pune.
The session will harness the play-full, interactive and expressive parts of theatre art, thereby creating an environment of ease and self-reflection. This will be done through ‪theatre‬ games - body & voice dynamics, improvisatory ‎plays‬ on themes/ stories and reflections and will be conducted by Aanand Chabukswar, a theatre practitioner, teacher for over two decades.

A Premier factory visit was organized particularly for the 3rd Year scholars on 15th May 2015. The day was packed with interactive and informative sessions, ranging from HR interactions to shop-floor and technical sessions. " Not only did we learn about the different engineering aspects and requirements, but this time we also learnt about other things that we would never know otherwise, such as organization structures, policies and rules. This was very interesting because it is key to working in a Corporate." says Karamvir Chavan, a TYBE scholar. "The shop floor visit and detailed discussions on production measures and safety was remarkable, the actual operations stunned us as we are never exposed to the real working scenario at College..." exclaims Kuldip Gud another Vinod Doshi- COEP Merit scholar.

After the grand success of our last workshop on 'Theatre and Self-expression' and in an attempt to go a step ahead in our overall development of our Vinod Doshi- COEP Merit Scholars, the Vinod & Saryu Doshi Foundation organised another interesting workshop for its Scholars called "The source" with an aim to empower the scholars with skills that will be useful in their day to day life, both personally as well as academically
